Kokia Degener is a genus of 4 species of small trees allied to the cottons. The natural distribution of all species is confined to Hawaii. Descriptions can be found in an online extract from a Manual of the Flowering Plants of Hawaii.

Other than Kokia kauaiensis all species are endangered to extinct in the wild.

The closest relative of Kokia is Gossypioides. Both these genera are close to the true cottons, Gossypium.
